Women’s March Madness Coming to Watsco Center

It is with great pride that I share with you that for the first time in 24 years our Women's Basketball program will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament on our campus. Hurricane Matthew Response and Relief Efforts

Last week we came together to prepare for the imminent threat of Hurricane Matthew. The University of Miami's Crisis Decision Team made the appropriate recommendations in ceasing non-essential operations on our campuses and facilities, prioritizing the safety of our students, faculty, and staff. He will continue in his role until the first quarter of 2017 and assist with the search for his successor. At my Town Hall meeting three months ago and in subsequent conversations during my 100-day listening exercise, it has become abundantly clear that for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) students, inclusivity is an extremely important priority in building a sense of belonging for all.
